Frequently Asked Questions

How does ThinkEd work?

ThinkEd offers specialised maths tutoring for KS3, GCSE, and IBDP students, with both one-on-one and group sessions. Our tutors are experienced math teachers with strong backgrounds in secondary education. Having successfully managed large classrooms and delivered consistently high academic results, we use evidence-backed, high-impact strategies in our in-person and online sessions to help every student reach their full potential in maths.

We provide a complimentary 10-minute consultation for parents or legal guardians, along with a 15-minute online pre-session consultation for students. These sessions allow students to discuss their learning goals, ask questions, and ensure they feel confident with the tutor.

Additionally, our tutors are available on WhatsApp for any questions or support outside of lesson times.

As a student, here’s what you’ll typically need for online tutoring:

  • Stable Internet Connection: A strong, stable internet connection to avoid interruptions during sessions.

  • Headphones (optional but recommended): For better audio quality and focus, especially in shared spaces.

  • Software or Platform Access: Ensure you have access to the online platform our tutors use (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet, or platforms like Pencil Spaces).

  • A Quiet, Comfortable Space: Find a distraction-free space where you can focus during your session.

  • Study Materials: Ensure you have the relevant digital materials, books, worksheets, or notes provided by your tutor ready.
